Have your say on health – public invited to CCG Governing Body Meeting and ‘Listening Post’
20 January 2020
All are invited to join your local NHS in finding out about plans for local healthcare services.
NHS Swale Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) which plans, buys and monitors a number of healthcare services for local residents, is holding its Governing Body meeting on Thursday 30 January 2020, 9:30am – 12:30pm, at The Sapling Room, The Appleyard, Avenue of Remembrance, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 4DE.
The CCG holds joint Governing Body meetings with NHS Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley CCG, and the location alternates bi-monthly between venues in the Swale CCG area and venues in the DGS CCG area. Residents from either area are welcome to attend.
Please get in touch if you plan to attend and if you have any questions. These must be submitted in advance. Send them to:

Come to the Listening Post from 1pm-2pm
An informal ‘Listening Post’ session for comments or questions from members of the public will be held after the Governing Body meeting from 1pm-2pm, where there will be an opportunity to discuss any issues with key members of the board. Themes raised by attendees at previous Listening Posts include:
- Sustainability and Transformation Partnership work
- Hospital discharge support
- Community services contract
- Breastfeeding advice services
- Diabetes care
- Transport links to hospitals
Depending on the nature and level of detail provided, the CCG may not be able to answer all questions in full on the day, however each query is passed on to the relevant lead and responded to in a timely way. Where appropriate, Listening Post responses are posted on the CCG website for everyone’s information. You can read previous questions raised and their answers here.
Your feedback is important and valuable so, if you have an interest in local health, it is worth coming along.
